Recently, I had a profound realization while listening to Dr Joe Dispenza book, “Becoming Supernatural: How Common People Are Doing the Uncommon” I was on the cross-trainer with my headphones in, and as I absorbed his wisdom, I found myself nodding in agreement. It dawned on me that I’ve been holding back from discussing the importance of holistic healing because some people dismiss it as “woo-woo” or dangerous, favouring Western medicine instead. So, today, I want to share my journey of holistic healing and why it matters.

In the book, there’s a story of a woman with a seemingly perfect life who went through a traumatic experience when her husband committed suicide. Her emotions spiraled out of control, and her body deteriorated as she relived her trauma daily. She became a mere shadow of her former self, experiencing various health issues over the years, including paralysis and clinical depression.

Her story resonated with me because I, too, went through trauma that left me feeling like a former version of myself. I didn’t realize how much I was reliving it until my health began to suffer. I vividly remember the ambulance ride and the fear of leaving my child behind. Something had to change, and I decided to take charge of my healing journey.

I started by understanding and accepting my trauma, not covering it up. I wrote down every detail, allowing myself to release those pent-up emotions. Then I asked myself what I had learned from this experience and how I could grow from it. This process helped me accept the situation, not in a positive light but as a part of my life that I needed to move beyond.

Once I’d completed the first stage of understanding and acceptance, I focused on healing my body, mind, and soul. I embraced a holistic approach to well-being, including meditation, exercise, and envisioning my future self, free from my current health issues. I realized that I needed to embody the positive emotions of my envisioned self to change my body’s chemistry and genetics.

This journey transformed me both mentally and physically. I lost weight, became mentally healthier, and developed ways to cope with down days. I started a spiritual company ASL aimed at helping other women find inner peace in their lives, sharing my experiences through content creation. It’s been a remarkable journey of personal growth and empowerment.

I also learned the importance of acknowledging the significance of therapy and seeking help when needed. In some cultures, there’s a stigma around seeking professional help, but I now see it as a sign of strength and growth.

In conclusion, my journey of holistic healing has been transformative. It began with understanding and accepting my trauma, followed by a commitment to healing my body and mind. This path has led me to a place of mental clarity, physical well-being, and a sense of purpose in helping others on their healing journeys. Remember, it’s okay to seek help and prioritize your well-being. Sending positivity your way!

Sending golden vibes and virtual hugs,
